Who:
The Cool and Connected: Girls on the Move!! summer program is open to immigrant and refugee girls aged 13-18.
What:
This is an all-girls program which integrates sport, health, recreation, career planning, and English language enhancement. Some of the things we will be doing this year are: volleyball, swimming, soccer, arts and crafts, Canadian History and Geography classes. We also go on field trips which may include Batoche National Historical Site and Candle Lake and Waskesiu National Park.
When:
The Program will run from 9:30am to 3:00pm., Monday to Friday, beginning in July and ending in August.
Where:
Each day of the program will begin at Saskatchewan Intercultural Association office: Room 405, 230 Avenue R South, Saskatoon. This is the "Old Nurses Residence" of the St. Paul's Hospital. Directions: To get here, take the #2 bus from Downtown and get off at St. Paul's Hospital on Avenue R. Come in the Avenue R Entrance (the old brick building), and take the elevator to the 4th floor.
Cost:
The program is free. You will need to bring your own lunch, as food will not be provided.
