The YEC will provide career counseling to Newcomer Youth (clients, ages 15-18) apart of the Teen Employment Program(TEP) by providing employment resources and making referrals to accessible programs and services that may further their opportunity to gaining employment. In addition to this, the YEC is responsible for connecting clients in the program with a suitable career mentor. The YEC will be responsible in writing narrative reports pertaining to their role in the program under the supervision of the Youth Team Lead and Youth Program Manager.
