Conversation Circle
Program Overview
Conversation Circle is a free, drop-in program where newcomers practice English through conversation, with a focus on listening and speaking. Each session includes a conversation topic related to everyday life in Saskatchewan and Canada. Sessions are guided by facilitators who help start and support the conversation, so there is no need to prepare in advance. Participants are welcome to join one session or attend regularly.
Where sessions are offered
Conversation Circle is offered online and in person. Online sessions are open to eligible newcomers across Saskatchewan. In person sessions are offered in Saskatoon on select dates.
Program schedule
- Monday mornings • 10:00–11:30 am
In person in Saskatoon (twice per month). Online on the other Mondays(all levels). - Monday evenings • 6:00–7:30 pm
Online (CLB 5–8) - Thursday evenings • 6:00–7:30 pm
Online ( All Levels) - Classes are not held on statutory holidays.
Before You Register
Conversation Circle is open to eligible newcomers living in Saskatchewan.
To participate, you must:
- be living in Saskatchewan
- be 18 years of age or older
- have one of the following immigration statuses:
- Permanent Resident
- Protection Person
- Convention Refugee selected by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
What to expect
Conversation Circle sessions are guided and discussion-based. Participants take part in small-group conversations and share ideas on everyday topics related to life in Canada. Facilitators help guide the conversation and make sure everyone has a chance to participate. Sessions are structured but flexible, and participants can join in at their own pace.

To take part in Conversation Circle, please complete the registration form below. Registering helps us plan each session and share important details, including online links and in-person locations. Conversation Circle is a drop-in program. You are welcome to attend even if you have not registered in advance.
