SK CultureXchange Program

Want to Help Newcomers Make their Homes in Saskatoon and Saskatchewan?

After our first successful intake for the SK CultureXchange Program, we are pleased to be accepting applications for the next intake. The program provides an exciting one-on-one intercultural relationship between Newcomers and Residents of Saskatoon and Saskatchewan. From this exchange, you develop friendships and learn about diverse cultures. All this supports your settlement in your new country – Canada!

The next program begins on April 12, 2021.

LINC Women LEAD Program

Women Learn. Women work. Women LEAD!

Are you looking for a community of women from whom to learn and be inspired? Are you hoping to improve your language skills so you can find a job in Canada?

Look no further!

SIA’s brand new 6-month Women LEAD program is perfect for you! We offer language and employment skills training and certifications to prepare newcomer women for the workplace and the world!

The next program begins on April 12, 2021.

CareerNet Program

It’s not too late to apply for CareerNet!

Three major components of this program include:

  1. An 8-week part-time class portion focused on employability and personal marketing skills (online).
  2. An 8-12 week professional mentoring session – clients are paired with volunteer mentors from the same occupational field as themselves (online/phone or in-person- depending on health region guidelines for C19).
  3. One-to-one access to employment counsellors for tailored support.

The next class is scheduled to begin on April 13, 2021.

Learning Interculturalism Through Employment (LITE) Program

Let your LITE shine in!

Learning Interculturalism Through Employment (LITE) is a paid program designed to help build confidence when looking for work. We help you gain confidence, skills and abilities to obtain and maintain work. The program also offers appreciation for diversity and acceptance.

The next program begins on May 17, 2021.

ConnectED Summer Program

Connect with our ConnectED youth program this summer.

This program is for you if you are looking for fun and learning more about life in Saskatoon. Program registration is open to newcomer and refugee children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Connect with us today!

The next program begins on July 5, 2021.
