Online English for Employment

Overview

Online English for Employment is a 12-week, fully online Employment and English learning program for newcomers ages 18 to 29. The program focuses on building English skills and job readiness to support participants in connecting with the labour market in Saskatchewan.

Participants learn about the Canadian work environment through topics such as digital literacy, resume and cover letter writing, interview skills, job searching, workplace communication, and Canadian work culture.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be a Newcomer (PR, Temporary Resident, Work Permit, or Canadian Citizen);
  • Are unemployed or employed less than 32 hours per week;
  • Between the ages of 18-29 years
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • CLB 4 to 8 (please provide a copy of your most recent language assessment, such as CLBPA from LARC)
Location and Schedule

Online English for Employment classes will be held virtually. 

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Important Dates:
  • Intake 1: February 10, 2026 – April 30, 2026
  • Intake 2: August 11, 2026 – October 29, 2026
