STAGE 1 & 2 English Classes
What is Stage 1 & 2?
SIA offers English language classes through the STAGE 1 & 2 program for Canadian citizens and individuals with temporary status. Classes are available in-person and online in Saskatoon.
STAGE 1 & 2 English Classes are designed to support adults in developing practical English skills for workplace, community, and everyday communication.
The program follows Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and uses Portfolio-Based Language Assessment (PBLA) to support learning progress. Classes focus on building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with an emphasis on real-world and employment-focused language use.
Additional Supports
Along with English classes, registered students have access to:
- Employment Counselling
- Help with Career Planning
- Settlement support and community referrals
- Intercultural education for work and everyday life in Canada
These supports help students use their English skills with more confidence outside the classroom.
