Information Session: Frauds and Scam
We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Frauds & Scam – Information Session specifically targeting newcomers to Canada (but the information is relevant to everyone) on September 7th, from 6 to 7:30 PM on ZOOM.
Organized in partnership between SIA, Foundations Learning and the Saskatoon Police, this online session aims to empower and educate newcomers about potential fraud risks they may encounter.
As newcomers settle into their new lives in Canada, it’s crucial to be aware of potential scams and frauds that target individuals who may be unfamiliar with local systems and processes.
During the information session, you can expect to:
- Learn to identify scams and protect yourself from fraud – job application frauds, social media scams, rental agreements scams and more.
- How to protect yourself and your personal information.
- Learn how to report fraud and recover.
- Learn how to pass on what you learn to your family and friends.
