Intercultural Dance Sessions: Kuthu & Gaana
Join us for an energetic and immersive evening as the Saskatchewan Intercultural Association comes together to experience the vibrant pulse of South Indian street culture through Kuthu and Gaana dance styles.
Led by dance teachers Krishna and Luxmi of Lux Productions, this one-day workshop invites participants of all backgrounds to learn, move, and connect through rhythm-driven movement and powerful music. Kuthu is bold, high-energy, and celebratory—known for its grounded footwork, expressive gestures, and infectious joy. Gaana, rooted in the lived experiences of working-class communities in Tamil Nadu, brings raw storytelling, rhythm, and soul, blending voice, beat, and movement into an unforgettable expression of culture.
