Indigenous Education
Overview
Our Indigenous education presentations review the origins of Canada, including:
- Treaties
- Historical and cultural narratives of Indigenous peoples
- The resurgence of traditional ways of knowing and doing
In pursuit of Call-to-Action number 57 and 93 in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) final report (TRC, 2012, pp. 7, 10, & 11), the Indigenous education modules deliver knowledge about Canada’s diverse First Nations, Inuit and Mètis peoples and cultures, while clarifying histories surrounding the colonization of North America.
